Houston NetSquared October Meetup

We can't wait for this month's Net2 meetup! We'll be chatting with some great folks from KPFT about their community work and all-around-coolness.

Non-profits, Media and Technology: KPFT 90.1 FM is a non-profit radio station featuring eclectic programming for nearly 40 years. Like many public radio stations, KPFT's audience is aging, and it is seeking to find technology solutions in its efforts to draw new audiences. KPFT's Programing Director Enrnesto Aguilar will discuss the station, its history, the complexities of running a volunteer-based media outlet, and how KPFT is seeking to utilize tech to make noncommercial media competitive and engaging.

This will be a fascinating discussion, perfect for non profit members and advocates as well as supporters/listeners of KPFT.

Also, HUGE thanks to the lovely Marina Sabatini who spoke with us in September about technology issues and tools related to her work with hard-of-hearing students in Houston.
