Background.
Net Tuesday is the face-to-face event series brought to you by NetSquared.org.
NetSquared is an initiative of TechSoup.org, a 501c-3 technology project based out of San Francisco, CA.

Currently, more than (18) cities are meeting up to discuss new ways to approach old problems.
Much needs to be learned about operating in a networked-era -- even more needs to be discovered -- and opportunities for new Projects await us.

For more about NetSquared.org, check-out the NetSquare site.

Questions? Bright ideas? Shoot. Send us an email at [masked].

Woohoo! Austin "gits bizzy" with the first Net Tuesday ever! Meet and greet, mingle and schmooze, and learn what's happening in the community, from government, to big and little business, to start it and see if you can make it go. I love it. Will be back next time! Hope you guys plan on having a spot at maker-faire

    •  It got me thinkin' and that's something special. There is a gold mine of talent in this group and, if mobilized, can make a difference.
    •  Diverse group... surprising characters!!! great info and contacts. Lots of energy, enthusiasm, and passion. Bright future!!!
    •  This meeting was so-not-as-geek-centric as I thought it would be - a much more diverse crowd: blending geek, business, student, teacher, well. I also had no idea re: purpose/social movement of netsquared - signing up for meet on recommendation of a friend for socializing in new town. What I liked best was the 'move it forward' focus including socializing, business, humane-ness. It reminded me of a combo of Tribe and Maker-Faire for business and geeks. :) (did I mention I say "geeks" with awe and respect?) The grass roots feel using hi-tech tools is sweet - and I also think the less talk, more action gist is a good thing! I'm hoping next time we can have maybe one speaker, some socializing, then an hour crunch on a project - or maybe a vote on two or three out of many projects to work on each hour, once a month - at the meetings. No idea! But am glad to be a part of it :)!
    •  Great to see such a diverse group of people organize around the many, many possibilities for developing and accelerating the work of pro-social enterprise. Very much looking forward to doing great things with you all, and continuing the conversation online, and again f2f, next month!
