I work as a contractor for the nonprofit Genocide Intervention Network doing web development and online organizing. Attended the 2006 and 2007 NetSquared conferences and was active in the DC NetSquared group during that time.
Amnesty International's "Eyes on Darfur" campaign, combining satellite evidence of continuing genocidal violence with an advocacy campaign to get political leaders to take action. http://www.eyesondarfur.org/
We use social networks (MySpace, Facebook, Livejournal, etc.) extensively to engage our members, give them tools to advocate for anti-genocide issues and raise money for civilian protection from genocidal violence.
